Wray and Nephew is throwing a party, invited guests will come.
Especially if this party was for the launch of the always anticipated White Overproof Rum calendar for 2008. The lawns of the company's headquarters on Spanish Town Road provided the venue on Thursday night for ladies and gents to groove to some music from Musical Credits Disco, munch on some good old Jamaican food and taste the niceties from the bar.
But the calendar launch and autograph signing was most anticipated by all. Two of the three models who grace the calendar with their ample frames were on hand to sign copies of the calendar for eager (and we mean eager) aficionados.
theme for the calendars
The theme for the calendars has been football-related for the last few years because of the company's sponsorship of the then-called National Premier League. So the bigwigs at J. Wray decided that for '08 it was 'back to basics'.
White rum is enjoyed all over, but especially in the bars, and that's where the calendar takes you; three voluptuous vixens with one lucky fellow in a game of dominoes that every man can appreciate. No need to ask whether the calendars that were on offer disappeared as quickly as they were unveiled.

The queue to get signed copies of the calendars was indeed long.
