Peace, love and J. Wray & Nephew

Afros, platform shoes, peace signs and lots of colour were the order of the evening as J. Wray and Nephew hosted its annual media party at The Quad nightclub on Tuesday.

Looks like nobody remembered there was a local government election the next day, the way the guests and hosts danced the night away. The '70s Retro Dance Party had music from all genres, both local and foreign. The house DJ started things off with slow jams like Members Only and You Are My Lady before picking up the pace with Hot Stuff and Rhythm Of The Night, among others. When Craig Ross took over the turntable he didn't let up.

This year there were no speeches and no trivia games to win prizes; it was just love, peace, soul, flower power and Saturday night fever, all in the middle of the week. And to top it off, Leroy Sibbles performed live. Groovy, man!

Sharon Murray and Chris Hardy were never far from the dance floor but they take time out for a photo.
