My dears, the party season is upon us, and it is chugging away at full speed, with all the fabulous people partying up a riotous storm!

The charming couple of Anthony and Jeanne Watson, and their son James, hosted their annual Christmas shindig, last Sunday, at Boone Hall Oasis, in Old Stony Hill. The reviews are pouring in like everybody's business and they all rank this as the event of the season.

And little wonder here, as the Watsons are known for their absolutely continentally chic soirées. We are talking an 'A-crowder' here of faultless proportions, and nothing but!

The roadway to the venue was more than a little testing. There were intermittent showers in the mix too, but dearhearts, these interventions did in no way dampen the spirit of celebration. Guests turned out in style to make merry in the spirit of the Yuletide season.

Dearhearts, not only was this the most anticipated party of the season, it was a faultless smasheroni of the haute kind, and then some!

Red-carpet treament

Meanwhile, in Ocho Rios, the fabulous Eva Myers, of Evita's Restaurant, was rolling out the red carpet for friends and patrons at her restaurant. She pulled out all the stops for the double celebration of her birthday and the 18th anniversary of the internationally renowned pasta eatery.

Luvs, it was fabulous, and then some as the north coast's leading social denizens and arbiters turned out in all their splendour to break bread and make merry with Jamaica's first queen of pasta!

And dears, we are talking a simply fabulous outing here. This is where the social demigods and society hopefuls all meet for the mere and sheer fun of it. Well sweet-things, guests are still raving about the fabness of it all.

Then there was the grandness of the grand opening of the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Hotel on the elegant strip of the island's tourism capital, last Saturday.

The buzz here my dears is that it was one fabulous occasion, with Prime Minister Bruce Golding, Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett, Spanish Ambassador Jesús Silva, and the president of the Iberostar Hotel group, Miguel Fluxa - all in attendance.

On Friday, the 30th, the social action was at the fashionably in Hilton Kingston hotel, at its grand independence ballroom, where the Appliance Traders Limited motor division was celebrating the company's 10th anniversary with founder and head of the group, Gordon 'Butch' Stewart, and a number of other dignitaries and notables.

Doves, the buzz here is it was all that; one fine outing accessorised by haute style and 'eleganza' that had those in attendance humming in appreciation.

But that, my precious angels, was way earlier in the evening. Later, it was all about the much anticipated and always colourful annual Christmas party hosted by the fabulous duo of Hubert Chin and his charming wife Jean Lowrie-Chin of PRO Communications, on the East Lawns of the historic Devon House, in New Kingston.

The buzz is it was one of those simply fabulous outings, as guests gathered and celebrated the season.

Constructive engagement

Billed as the "official launch of the holiday season," guests celebrated under the theme 'constructive engagement'.

Sweet-things, it was like that, with the night clearly belonging to the orange, green and yellow revellers, who partied like rock stars way into the night.

On Thursday the 29th, it was all about the mega-talented crooner and balladeer Beres Hammond, as he introduced 'A Moment In Time', at his Harmony House on Dumbarton Avenue, in New Kingston.

The evening before saw former Miss World, Cindy Breakspeare, and hubby, Rupert Bent, launching their annual musical fiesta 'Welcome To Jamrock', at the Jonkanoo Lounge of the Hilton Kingston hotel.

On Tuesday, it was all about Swiss Stores and the unveiling of their latest offerings in fine and fabulous jewellery, at the Belisario Suite, at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel. Principals Peter and Ueli Bangerter were hosts to leading members of the chic and fab, who not only browsed, but sipped on premium libations as they mulled over prospective purchases. It made for a rather elegant little outing.

Then on Wednesday, Prime Minister Bruce Golding celebrated his birthday at his Belmont Road party offices, with a JLP local government electoral victory. Come next week, on the 12th, his predecessor to the office of PM, Portia Simpson Miller, will be celebrating her birthday.

Also sharing the astrological birthday season as their party leader are Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett, who celebrated on Monday. His colleague, Delroy Chuck, celebrated on Sunday.

PRO Communications' Jean Lowrie Chin celebrated on Tuesday, and GraceKennedy's head honcho, Douglas Orane, will take the honours tomorrow Saturday, the 8th.

Also celebrating tomorrow, is Abdullah Marzouca, who will be celebrating his 50th birthday with all the trappings befitting such a memorable milestone. Last Saturday, however, it was his in-law, Eleanor Hussey, who was celebrating her very own and special milestone as she marked her 40th birthday with a bang at the Hussey's Beverly Hills mansion that saw the glitterati and the fab out partying!

Champagne toasts and caviar treats all around!
