Party people and Chester
published: Friday | December 14, 2007

( L - R ) Little-White, Levy, Munroe

Luvs we are in the midst of the party season, but some having more reasons to party than others. They include Opposition Leader Mrs. Portia Simpson Miller, who celebrated her birthday on Wednesday; Anthony Watson and the lovely Moya Baston (now in Dubai), both celebrated theirs yesterday; St. Ann-based pastor, Rev. Howard Francis, (back from Israel, in time to celebrate) and Dwight Sangster, who both celebrated theirs on Tuesday.

Dr. Trevor Munroe celebrated on Monday; and special wishes to Lennie Little-White and Ian Levy, who will celebrate theirs today.

Champagne toasts and caviar treats all around.

Anniversaries

Jonathan and Paula Surtees celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary last Monday.

On Tuesday, Richard and Karen Francis, of Montego Bay, will be celebrating their 13th wedding anniversary.

The preferred invitations are out and as usual those who did not make the cut are scampering to get on. And, you can forget the one who thinks his every move and utterance is newsworthy. There is another who thinks that with his title comes automatic right to be included on all party lists. Read my words: Hosts reserve the right to invite whomever they will. Alas, it seems to have escaped this political ingénue and is a major source of amusement for those in the know! But more anon.

It's the only talk all week, and it's now being dubbed 'The case of the exuberant employee'. Well, what do you know; it just goes to show the dedication of the much-maligned Jamaican workforce!

But, my dears, it's the time for merriment, and y'all know that nothing but the very best will do. And so, these are the writers choices for the holiday season.
