Pay hike for MPs - To get 20 per cent wage increase
Parliamentarians will receive a 20 per cent increase in salary early next year. This has been confirmed by Finance Minister Audley Shaw. Accordingly, $96 million has been included in the First Supplementary Estimates, approved yesterday by the House of Representatives.

Cash Plus injunction extended
The Carlos Hill-led Cash Plus Ltd. was on Monday granted a further injunction which bars National Commercial Bank from closing some 26 accounts which it has with the bank.The bank has served notice that it will appeal the decision.
