Bermuda cricketers to make quick Jamaica stop
published: Thursday | December 27, 2007

HAMILTON, Bermuda (CMC):

BERMUDA'S CRICKETERS will be stopping over in Jamaica for a two-match, warm-up series next February, before contesting the Stanford Twenty20 series in Antigua and Barbuda, the Royal Gazette newspaper has reported.

The Bermudians are due to travel to Jamaica on February 1 for a couple of games against local opposition, just under a week before their first-round Stanford match against Guyana on February 7.

The squad is being coached by former national player, Herbie Bascome, in the absence of national coach Gus Logie, who will not be in Antigua and Barbuda for the January 26 to February 24 Stanford tournament.

Logie has attached himself to the Bermuda Under-19s and will be with the youngsters in Malaysia next February when they contest the ICC Youth World Cup.
