THE 2007 KFC National Basketball League season came to a close with the playing of the All-Stars game, slam dunk and three-point shoot-out contests at the Stadium Courts on Saturday evening.

The East, led by Majesty Gardens' Kemar McLeish game-high 26 points, defeated the West team 91-76 in the All Stars game. McLeish received support from St George's Slayers' Rohan Robinson (17 points), while Tivoli All-Stars' Damion Young added 16 points. For the West, Desmond Harriot, of Blazing Panthers, was the high man with 19 points and Denham Town Wizards' Anthony Farquharson contributed 11.

Champions Urban Knights' Oneil Mundle became the undisputed King of the slam dunk when he out-dunked McLeish.

Mundle first soared over three players before slamming home what he described as 'Flight 747' to an astonished Stadium crowd. Mundle's opponent in the final, McLeish, of rookie team Majesty Gardens, didn't execute any of his dunks.

Knights' captain, Linton Murray, was crowned champion of the three-point shoot out, out-gunning Lynford Brown of Blazing Panthers six buckets to five.
