Even though it's only been five years, Halicon Holdings Limited is as firmly established as the foundations of their housing developments.
The Melwood Castles (Cherry Gardens) and Gwendon Park Estate (Norbrook) townhouses are two of their fabulous creations. At their fifth anniversary reception last Thursday, Chairman Novell Quest marvelled that they had come a long way in a short time. Reiterating their tagline, he said, "we build homes others dream about."
And the company is not about to rest on its laurels going into '08. General Manager Desmond Young told of two new developments, Sincere Palms which will be located on Shortwood Road and Los Castillos (The Castles) in Mandeville. Both ventures offer amenities you would expect from a first-rate property development company. And the rush is expected to be on soon, especially in Mandeville as lots have already been marked and ready to be built on. Plus some of the features are already in place and only need to be renovated. No wonder offers for Halicon's expertise are coming in from across the Caribbean, including Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados.
Virtual reality shows of the upcoming projects, attractively decorated booths from Halicon's partners (Jamaica National Building Society, Howard Johnson Realty and Tile City) and the music of Harold Davis and Friends were also part of the occasion.
Guests included David Shields, Maurice Anderson, Cynthia Anderson, Sussharrah Bradberry, Tanya Evans, Dr. Leary Myers, Dr. Omer Thomas, Michael Collins, Denys Williams, Pastor Samuel Lewis, Hopeton Heron, Paulette Mills, Roberta Black, Michael Gyles, Stead Williams and Neville Mills.
