Real estate developer, Geon Contractors and Associates Limited, will be constructing eight units and eight serviced lots at Old Stony Hill Road in the vicinity of Rockhampton Drive, St. Andrew.

Reynold Scott, executive chairman of the Geon Group of Companies, refused to divulge details of the project, but according to the Real Estate Board, the development is expected to cost $107 million.

The board is currently reviewing the application and is expected to pronounce on it this month.

Awaiting plans

Geon is currently constructing a wall at the site, which the board said is allowed as part of land preparations on such projects.

Up to Tuesday, the board said it was still awaiting the development plans. Such plans have to be filed for the board to sign off on the project, the agency said.

The Rockhampton project is one of two that Geon has on the ground in the Old Stony Hill area. Its more well-known and upscale development, Casa Monte Estate, is due for completion in March, said Reynolds.

The 12-acre development, which comprises 21 four-bedroom houses, each of 3,200 square feet, and 30 executive apartments 1,700 square feet, are priced at $16 million to over $30 million.
