Bank on Allied force

Tomorrow's race meet at Caymanas Park offers a Pick-9 of $1.5 million and a payout well in excess of $2 million looks a mere formality if it is caught.

The Pick-9 will embrace races two to 10; the Super 6 from five to 10. We look at the Super-6 which gets under way with a 1400-metre claiming race ($210,000-$180,000) to be contested by 11 starters, including top contenders SPECIAL K, RAMADA, RIZZI LEE and the recent winner SANTA ANITA GIRL.

Good nick

Preference is for the Richie Todd-trained SPECIAL K who has kept better company.

Although racing for the first time since finishing third to SLOGAN over 1500 metres last September, SPECIAL K will report in good nick and only needs to leave the gates promptly in order to outfinishing RAMADA, SANTA ANITA GIRL and RIZZI LEE

DR. BADOO, the mount of champion jockey Omar Walker, gets a glorious opportunity to score an overdue win in the sixth race (non winners of two) over 1100 metres.

Now taking orders from champion trainer Wayne DaCosta since beaten into sixth place by the DaCosta-trained IN THE PRIME over 1200 metres on January 1, DR. BADOO has looked well at exercise since and despite the sound claims of RALLY TO MARKET and HI TECH, looks the one to beat and should do so ahead of RALLYTOMARKET.

Next on the programme is the day's feature race, the Millard Ziadie Cup over 1100 metres (claiming $380,000 - $330,000) to be contested by eight starters.

The winner is expected to come from the quartet of JACK BE GOOD, now up in class after his easy victory over 1200 metres on New Year's Day, the down-in-class PSYCHEDELIC, TASSY'S WHIP and BABY RENEE, who has won two of her last four races.

Gary Subratie's American filly PSYCHE-DELIC caught the eye when finishing two lengths third to NUMERO UNO over the straight five course on January 1, this on a $420,000 claiming tag.

Still, preference is for JACK BE GOOD who has beaten better in the not-too-distant past and now back to winning form, could run up a sequence.

The eighth race over 1200 metres should resolve itself into a straight fight between super fit hat-trick seeker JET SKI D'OR and the consistent IMPERIALIST, while the 2006 Governor's Cup and St. Leger winner ALLIEDFORCE, now dropped in class and very fit, cannot be opposed in the ninth race where PITTACUS looks his only serious rival in a field of 11.
