I concur with the view that there was nothing untoward or of a 'hanky-panky' nature with the killings of the alleged five criminals in Tivoli during the recent raid on that garrison. The argument about state slaughtering of innocent people in Tivoli would not, and cannot make any sense under a Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Government, whose PM heads not only the JLP but is the MP for the constituency. As a people, we must decide whether we want to get rid of the garrisons and these senseless and heartless murderers driving us nervously out of our wits, homes and general way of living.
Let the security forces do their job. The judiciary, as well intentioned as it is, has been overwhelmed at this point and too slow to bring about the required change needed. As long as the commissioner, the Church and other 'upright' institutions are vigilant, the kind of operations done in Tivoli by the security forces should be continued on a more prevalent but short-term basis and be extended to all garrisons irrespective of political complexion!
For the past few years, these killers have grown accustomed to the reality that they can hold the entire nation at ransom and get away with it. The killers must quickly realise that the days of their free reign has quickly come to an end!
