FRIEND CAM

Music and sports tend to bring people together in a very special way and there is often a spiritual bond between friends who become close through performing or competing together. Melissa Fearon (MF), 24; Katherine Williams (KW), 22; and Sharea Samuels (SS), 24, have been friends for about two years.

What do you do for a living?

SS: Melissa is a performer/singer/dancer.

MF: Katherine is a singer.

KW: Sharea is a surfer/filmmaker.

Fun fact: They met at Flashpoint Film Festival, in Negril, in 2004.

What makes them similar or different?

SS: We are all into music, and that gives us a special bond. We are all very different and we learn a lot from each other.

Time when we are strong for each other:

MF: All the time. Sometimes we will try to protect each other so much so that we end up having an argument.

What's your favourite thing to do together?

KW: Write music! We also like to surf and go fishing.
