No hike expected in egg prices
Consumers should not be paying more for table eggs with the implementation of new labelling and grading standards that took effect last month, says Mark Campbell, president of the Jamaica Egg Farmers' Association.

The Yallahs river pipeline, which pumps on average 15 million gallons of water daily into the Mona Reservoir in St Andrew, is expected to be back on stream in a number of days after being out of commission for the past two months.

To fly cheap, Spirit doubles luggage fee

Low cost carrier Spirit Airlines has doubled the cost to fly passenger luggage as an offset against rising fuel prices, but is selling it as a deterrent to over-packing for trips. Effective February 20, the fee moves from U$10 to US$20 per piece of luggage checked at the counter.
