The Editor, Sir:The only people too concerned with the possibility of hanging innocent persons to admit that we must hang convicted murderers are the people who know that our legal system is severely flawed and have the power to do something about it, but don't.We must punish them by hanging even if only to put an end to their 'hanging on' to the economic frocktails of society. We must also begin to send criminals a serious message. The Economist named Jamaica the most murderous country in the world, what kind of image will we continue to allow the criminal element to create for us?
