Prince Charles and his wife Camella will grace our shores in March.

King's House has announced that Their Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will be making an official visit to Jamaica from March 12-14.

The visit forms part of a Caribbean tour by Their Royal Highness. During their stay in Jamaica they will tour select venues in Kingston and St Andrew, Falmouth in Trelawny and Montego Bay, St James.

Meantime, Kirsten Madison, the US deputy assistant secretary of state, Bureau of Western Hemis-phere Affairs in the US Department of State, is expected in Jamaica on an official visit from February 27 to 28.

Madison will meet with government leaders, business representatives, members of civil society and the media. She will discuss a range of issues of common concern including counternarcotics and hemispheric security, crime, corruption and policy initiatives to support economic development in Jamaica.

Madison's portfolio includes a broad range of issues regarding US policy toward Cuba and the countries of Central America and the Caribbean. She previously served as director for Central American and Caribbean Basin Affairs at the National Security Council.

In 2002, Madison was senior adviser to Cesar Gaviria during his tenure as secretary general of the Organisation of American States.
