ISCF to man courts starting next week
published: Friday | March 7, 2008

Members of the Island Special Constabulary Force (ISCF) are to start manning the Home Circuit Court and Gun Court, downtown Kingston as of next week.

The courts are now manned by members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), who will be reassigned to other duties.

More than 30 special constables turned up at the courts this week for orientation.

A senior police officer said the change was being made because of the shortage of members in the JCF. He said the police who were assigned to those courts will now be able to take up duties in other areas where there was a shortage of staff.
