Distractions were put aside on Friday evening as the People's National Party hosted its media party in Jack's Hill.
Nothing makes one's spirits merrier than the downing of a few spirits (of the liquid variety) with members of the fourth estate. So, at least for one Friday night, everything took a back seat to groovy music and finger-licking food.
Senator Mark Golding's home provided the ample yard space for this bash, and while some guests came for the 6:00 p.m. start time, most didn't start stepping in until some minutes to nine (putting their publications and newscasts to bed before partying). With Gladdy of Wild Bunch Disco at the turntable, it wasn't long before guests made use of the dance floor. But that was not before trying Lorraine Fung's varied culinary delights, which included dishes from the varied cultures that make Jamaica great.
Guests out included Desmond Richards, Keriann Lee, Claude Robinson, Dania Bogle, Roger Clarke, Fitz Jackson, Kenrick Barnaby, Maureen Webber, Tunty Barrett, Norman Grant, Dr Morais Guy, Ralston Hyman, Anthony Miller, Judith Alberga, Dionne Jackson-Miller, Harry Douglas, Andre Rowe, Gillian Haughton, Simon Crosskill, Colin Blair, Dwight Moore and wife Sharon, Wayne Walker, Rodger Hutchinson, Durrant Pate, Dara Smith, Janella Precius, Maia Chung, Ben Brodie, Nicole Hayles-McGowan, Rohan Powell, Cassius Watson, Al Edwards, Damien Phillips, Dennis Brooks, Damion Blake and Cecil Thoms.
Ingrid Green from Coldwell Banker Jamaica Realty steps into the party.
