Carlo Redwood, former marketing manager for spirits and innovation at Red Stripe, was treated to a wonderful send-off by his colleagues last Friday at the company's hang-out, Vibes.

Redwood, who spearheaded the Red Summer and Live Red campaigns, was lauded for his unwavering dedication to the company for more than six years. He was elated that the company went all out for him, and was at a loss for words.

He did, however, manage to say that he was proud to have been a part of the Red Stripe team and that he had enjoyed every minute of it. He said the friendships he had made over the years and the connection with his colleagues were things he would never forget.

Redwood, who is moving on to pursue personal goals, was extolled by Wayne Lawrence, director of marketing at Red Stripe. He said that Redwood possessed a level of energy, vibrancy, authenticity and an ability to bring people together towards a common goal. The team presented Redwood with a beautiful collage that was handcrafted with photos from his tenure.

In true Jamaican style, the send-off boasted a menu of delights, including jerked chicken, curried goat, escoveitched fish, sumptuous jerked pork, festival, roti and mannish water, while a grand cake turned out to be an excellent dessert.

Maxine Whittingham-Osborne, head of corporate relations at Red Stripe, toasts Carlo Redwood during his farewell party at Vibes Red Stripe last Friday.
