The holders of licences should go to the divisional police headquarters in their respective parishes.
However, holders in the St Andrew Central Division should go to the Police Officers' Club on Hope Road in St Andrew.
Persons should visit the tax office and present an approved request-for-renewal form and pay the requisite fees.
Persons seeking to renew their firearm licences should take along their firearm booklet, employee certificate or permit with licence fee certificate attached, and a completed licence-renewal request form, which can be obtained from the website www.fla.gov.jm, the divisional headquarters.
Private security personnel
In the case of private security personnel, applicants should also take proof of current individual Private Security Regulation Authority registration. Persons will then submit tax office receipts to the firearm clerk to complete the process. No Tax Compliant Certificate is required.
If persons are unable to produce the firearm licence-fee certificate, they will be required to submit two recent passport-size photographs, Tax Registration Number and proof of age to the Firearms Licensing Authority, which is located at 30-36 Knutsford Boulevard in New Kingston.
