Sports minister Olivia Grange has expressed her delight at the West Indies cricket team's victory over Sri Lanka on Sunday to square the Test Series 1-1. Minister Grange said she hoped the victory represents a real turning point for the Windies and an end to the recent series of defeats for the Caribbean team.
"I am elated yet, at the same time, deeply moved by the West Indies' thrilling six-wicket win to square the series with Sri Lanka," Miss Grange said.
Congratulations are in order for skipper Chris Gayle, the team, the management and coaching staff, whose obvious hard work was justly rewarded, she said.
