Reforms needed
The government should stop wasting money on scandal and dirt and let us know more about the state of the economy. I believe the government is using the light bulb scandal to distract us. Every MP must be a citizen of Jamaica should know the law of the land before they enter representational politics and they should come from and reside in the constituency they represent. We the people of Jamaica should request constitutional reforms that limit the terms of all MPs and the prime minister to only two terms. Upon retirement the prime minister should not be allowed to take up any more government office.

Bad service
Having being accustomed to extending quality customer service during my years of working in a service-oriented organisation, I am always totally at a loss as to the calibre of persons that are employed in our government service organisations. Do not have persons waiting for hours not knowing what is happening; as was the case at the Passport Office on April 16. After waiting for an extended long period (I was also on my one hour lunch break), I was informed by the security at the side, that this was not the norm, but goodness, could that not be conveyed to us waiting?

Food crisis
As we look down the barrel of the food crisis, I encourage Jamaicans to think their way out. For example, giving out seeds to people in the inner cities would help to feed while providing a way to earn money. This of community togetherness gets people to pull together. It is ironic that the JLP has come to understand that eating what you grow is the way to build a strong nation. If we had stuck to that path from the seventies Jamaica could have had food security.

Past mistakes
Dr Omar Davies needs to be reminded that the large problems the Jamaican economy is facing flowed directly from his policies under the previous government. We know that the job of the Opposition is to keep an eye on the party in power, but there is a thing called
credibility and I think Dr Davies is in short supply of this. Jamaica is in a very fragile state, what we need is constructive criticism that will help the country get out from under the mountain of debt we have accumulated over the last eighteen and a half years.
