This year, Jamaica will be the host country for the annual Engineering Managers Conference, presented by the Caribbean Electric Utility Services Corporation. The event will take place in Montego Bay, from July 28-30, under the theme 'Engineering Solutions - The Challenges Faced by Caribbean Electric Utilities in the 21st Century'.
The Jamaica Public Service Company Ltd will act as the host company for the event.
Scholars, professionals, and practitioners are invited to submit abstracts of approximately 100 words with title, for preliminary consideration.
Topics of interest include the theme of the conference, but are not limited to it. Other topics of interest are reliability, metering, energy security, information and communications technologies, and business ideas.
Presenters' guidelines
1. All potential presenters must complete the abstract submission form available on the CARILEC website (www.carilec.com).
2. Selected presenters will be informed by June 8.
3. Subsequent to notification, a full presentation, including;
a. Power Point slide, for a 45-minute presentation (inclusive of 10-15 minutes, Q & A);
b. A written paper;
c. Passport-size photo;
d. Presenters' biography (about 100 words);
e. Company logo and biography (no more than 100 words).
Final submission of the documents listed is April 22.
