The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) has issued a new timetable for the resumption of the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) in Trinidad and Tobago, after the papers were leaked.
The new timetable was issued yesterday to the Ministry of Education in Trinidad and Tobago.
Communication studies paper 02 will be offered on June 16. The other examination papers will commence on June 23 and will be completed July 25.
The council took the decision to replace all CAPE papers originally scheduled between May 12 and June 13 in Trinidad and Tobago with new examination papers after the communication studies papers were leaked to some students.
Five days later
CXC said the CAPE results for Trinidad and Tobago will be released on August 16, five days later than the originally scheduled release date.
Dr Didacus Jules, CXC registrar, said: "The council is of the view that, under the circumstances, this is the best possible option to ensure the integrity of its examination."
Jules added: "The council assures the public of its strong commitment to providing the region with examinations of the highest quality which are internationally recognised."
