EDITORIAL - Lasting lessons from GSAT
It is fitting that Kristi Charles' memorable year-long GSAT results story should come to a conclusion close to the time results for this year's exams were published. Kristi, of course, already has her place in high school at Campion College, where she is on the honour roll.

Happy Children's Day

Today's commercial world has designated tomorrow as Father's Day. My father, however, did not enjoy this pleasure as this celebration was started in Jamaica only in recent times. I hope he knew that we loved him, even though we played terrible tricks on him. (Neita)

Waiting for an Obama presidency

THE EDITOR, Sir: I have to agree with Mr Samuda when he said that "American president is for America, ... America first". However, if Obama becomes president and is able to fix the US economic situation then Jamaica will benefit.

Issue: Teachers - the very good and the bad

Allow me to address our nation's teachers. Like in anything else, when we are good, we are very good and when we are bad, we are dangerous. Contrary to what the JTA would have this nation believe, we have countless teachers in the sector...
