Vox Pop - Do you think that fathers in Jamaica are given enough credit?
published: Saturday | June 14, 2008

Anna-Lisa

No, there are a few who are role models to their children and should be given more credit, respect and recognition for doing their job regardless of the fact that they may be in the minority.

Kamal

No, because there aren't many good fathers that out there, so the few good ones are overlooked and are generalised to be worthless like the majority.

Michael

Not enough credit is given. I grew up with my father who raised three boys and he has been very influential to us. Fathers play a very important role in the family and set the trend among males; once absent, males will run wild.

Maria

For me, my husband is responsible. However, I think fathers on a whole could do more. Some are given enough credit and there are the few who truly are overlooked, but overall they are given enough credit.
