It's a THAI thing come get a Taste
published: Thursday | June 19, 2008

Ambassador of Thailand Snanchart Deva-hastin serves a plate of his native cuisine for a guest at Monday's lunch at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel.

ALL WEEK long, lunchtime diners at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel have had a chance to sample some of the mouth-watering dishes from Thailand. That's because the first ever Thai Food and Cultural Week has been taking place there. It ends on Saturday night with a gala dinner.

The festival is the collaboration of the Royal Thai Embassy Ottawa, The Royal Thai Consulate-General Jamaica, Thai Trade Centre, Miami, and the Jamaica Pegasus hotel.

Here is a sampling of some of the menu items.

Thai seafood salad.

A selection of carving styles by expert fruit and vegetable carvers from Thailand.
