Models of self-reliance
published: Thursday | July 3, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

The Editor, Sir:

First, I must give my condolences to the family of the late, great Mr Chambers, chairman of the JUTC. It is with anger and and great disappointment that I write these few lines to you.

I have had the pleasure of communicating with Mr Chambers a couple of times and really think that this was a very special person.

I was an employee at the JUTC and I, too, was made redundant in 2001, so I guess that I should have gone and taken another life because my tenure had come to an end within that organisation? Do these persons believe that life ends for them when they lose a job?

I think that this was a brutal and vicious act.

I am, etc,

JANET BRYAN
