What would Louise Bennett-Coverley think if she were here to hear the dishonourable debate over Patois? I am not Jamaican. I do love Jamaica and I read with regret statements apparently made by persons who would rather forget that part of their heritage. Patois is to me colourful, exhilarating and very challenging to 'foreigners' (of which I am one, although mi Jamaican frens dem say mi Jamerican.
May the Lord God teach us to just 'be' and rejoice in our being. Peace, love and blessings to all.

Big up to Lalah
Your articles bring me back home. Those are the stories that I have longed to hear. I believe if you take a video camera with you and document your stories, you would have the most popular half-hour to an hour show, bar none.
Keep up the good work. You are doing more (with humour) to keep people's blood pressure down than any doctor I know!

Clans talk?
We as Jamaicans should be ashamed of ourselves for allowing the Clansman gang to hold a press conference in Jamaica.
As Jamaicans, we are already looked down on by the world as a set of people who commit the worst crimes against our fellow countrymen. But to allow a criminal organisation to hold a press conference? Wow!
No wonder many Jamaicans who live overseas decide not to return to Jamaica to reside in their senior years. Jamaica should be ashamed.
