quickies: Beenie Man to play Strip Tease

Deejay Beenie Man will make his first appearance at the Strip Tease Night Club in White Hall, Negril, next Friday. The promoter promises the event, dubbed 'Summer Jam', will be an unforgettable one as Beenie Man promises to deliver a special performance for his fans in western Jamaica. Music will be provided by Hard Rock sound system.

Da'Ville sips for Cooyah Reggae Flava

Cooyah Reggae Flava has added reggae and R&B singer Da'Ville to its natural spring water product advertisement campaign. The natural spring water, a first for Cooyah Reggae Flava, has full endorsement from the singer as another quality addition to the reggae brand. "Well, I've been wearing Cooyah clothing line for the longest and I was very thrilled when they asked me to endorse another great big idea such as their flava water," Da'Ville said.

Mighty gospel in Toronto

For the last three weeks the award-winning Jason Mighty has been on a major promotional blitz in Toronto, Canada. With hits such as One Soul, Can't Walk and Careful locking down the radio stations in the mega city, the gospel star is being welcomed with open arms in more ways than one. "Since I have been here I have been approached by two record labels that are interested in signing the project. Both of them are major industry players," Mighty said. "It's an exciting opportunity but I am still praying about it." Mighty will climax his Canada trip with another large-scale launch of his album, Cornerstone, this time along with Prodigal.

Rita Marley thrills fans in Europe

Rita Marley, recently tore up the stage at the Novegro Summer Festival in Milan, Italy and the Metarock Festival in Pisa, Spain. On both warm July nights she performed for thousands of fans, backed by C-Sharp band and percussionist Bongo Herman. Marley delivered songs from her own and husband Bob Marley's repertoire. Back-up dancers Naudiann and Rosemary captivated the crowds with their moves. Fans in Spain received a memorable treat as two of Bob Marley's Three Little Birds, Marcia Griffiths and Rita Marley magnetised them. Both concerts closed with fans demanding more.
