Gun amnesty
Mr Prime Minister, sir, thanks for your efforts in trying to stem the worsening crime situation in our beloved country. May I ask, sir, why can't you call a gun amnesty? Don't you and your minister of national security think this will help?

Net metering
Congratulations to the National Housing Trust on deciding to support the application of solar technology in Jamaica. The Jamaica Public Service and Office of Utilities Regulations need to quickly adopt net metering. This will make the return on deploying solar technology shorter. Net metering will spur the growth of alternative energy use in Jamaica, let's adopt it now.

Yvonne Scott
My name is Carlos Edwards, For over 20 years, I have been trying to locate Yvonne Scott (about 65 years old) whose parents had a small business on Rousseau Road, close to Cross Roads, in the 1960s. She later lived in Vineyard Town. She had a brother named Segre Scott. The family migrated abroad possibly to England. I would like to get any information possible about her.

Sumfest waiver
I am compelled to seek guidance regarding the law enforcement/ communities public agreement in not enforcing a law enacted by Parliament. As I understand it, the Noise Abatement Act is a creature of our Parliament. Ministers and commissioners of police are sworn to uphold the laws of the land. Hence, my enquiry. What is the legal basis for the 'waiver' granted to Sumfest? Mr Minister, educate me please.

Sparing the rod
The criminals in Jamaica all started out as 'bad' boys. In days of old, some bad boys were warned that the next time they messed up, they would get six lashes before going to jail for six months. If, after those lashes healed and he could sit down again, and he goes and does the same thing again, he is facing 12 months, lash in, lash out. There is nothing more humiliating to a man than having a sore behind. Spare the rod and spoil the child.
