Dr Jennifer Mamby-Alexander launched her book, A Practical Guide to Coping with Cancer, last Thursday evening at her home.
The book, which not only gives tips on coping with the disease from a medical perspective, details Dr Mamby-Alexander's own battle with breast cancer.
The compact guide is "easy to read", according to Dr Aggrey Irons, psychiatrist and master of ceremonies at the function.
"Although it's a book about coping with cancer, it is also a book about coping with life," said Sandra Samuels, breast cancer survivor and and patient of Dr Mamby-Alexander. "It's all about living, it's all about victory," said Dr Freddie Clarke. The book is available in Sangster's and Kingston bookshops.
