Strong backing for the Government
published: Monday | July 28, 2008

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I STRONGLY agree with the Government in stepping up on crime prevention strategies; it is long overdue. Criminals have come to think that they can hold society at ransom and do just about anything and get away with it.

If we want a safer Jamaica, we must give up something in order to achieve it. Human rights is better preserved when there is order and respect for law by all. If we continue to use the same strategies that didn't work, we will get the same results.

I am, etc.,
