Nothing makes a woman feel sexier than, yup, you guessed it, lingerie. On Thursday, July 24, faithful customers of My Secret Closet, along Lady Musgrave Road, got a big thank you at a champagne reception to celebrate its fifth anniversary. The reception was the climax for an appreciation day, and for the entire month of July, which was appreciation month.
And after five years, things are only getting better. "We're doing well because you keep coming back," noted proprietor Natalie Bowen-McKenzie. And it only gets better for customers. Her husband and chairman of the company, Obie McKenzie, has added the icing on the cake. Still in its embryonic stage is a move to reward faithful customers with gas cards.
Reality
Bowen-McKenzie credits him as being the one who keeps her in check and in touch with reality. In response, McKenzie also lauded his wife. "I'm so proud of my wife and what she stands for," he said.
On their way to becoming the 'Victoria's Secret' of the Caribbean, they announced their expansion in Bermuda under the name, Just Between Us. Bowen-McKenzie said she chose Bermuda because it reminded her so much of what Jamaica was like, 30 years ago. My Secret Closet also gets rebranded as Bras 'N' Lace as it continues to provide lingerie for real Jamaican women.
