The Editor, Sir:Just to comment on Jean B. Seaga-Anderson's letter concerning DNA collection published on July 31.
I do believe that the suggestions are very good and should be considered. However, we do have a massive problem in our country and that is mailing addresses.
There are too many unknown addresses and that is having a negative impact on the security of the country. Addresses are not identified individually by street names and number, therefore if a crime is committed and, by chance, some form of DNA from the suspect is collected it's very hard for the police to capture such person without being noticed because too many people are registered at the same place (e.g. River Bank district, Rock Stone P O, St Mary, etc)
Every home should be identified by street name and number and every person should be linked with a proper address. This could take so much stress away from our already overworked security forces.
I am, etc.,
