WESTERN BUREAU:
Last weekend, Negril was the place to be for the young and young at heart. It was a time to show skin, more skin and a feast for the eyes.
The annual ATI and RTI bashes were in full swing. No party was hotter than the 'Smirnoff Xclusive' soirée at Rhodes Hall Plantation on Saturday.
If patrons did not have an invitation in hand, new clothing on their backs, an open mind and positive energy, they were not classified 'Xclusive' for this party.
Garbed in Smirnoff's signature red and white colours, this event attracted some of Jamaica's most 'fab' people.
Hundreds turned up at the beachfront property located just about 10 minutes from Negril, each presenting a 750ml bottle of Smirnoff Vodka. The sole requirement after entering, was 'Be prepared to dance and drink responsibly'.
Enough said!
The music of Kurt Riley, DJ Bambino and the Gambino family from South Florida created waves on the seven miles of white sand beach, but it was the fashionistas that received most attention.
