Yesterday saw the rebirth of real Jamaican Independence celebrations, and from the excitement levels observed in persons who came out to participate, it was long overdue. Kudos to minister with responsibility for culture, Olivia 'Babsy' Grange, who was on the spot early, ensuring that all was in place. Shame on those who tried to sell the free tickets for entry to the stadium!
