Although she was beaten into fourth place at the National Trials last month, an informal survey done by The Gleaner has revealed that many Jamaicans still believe ace sprinter Veronica Campbell-Brown should be given the opportunity to run the 100 metres in Beijing. According to the rules of the Jamaica Amateur Athletic Association, only the top- three finishers automatically qualify to represent the country.

Kemar McDonald, 18


She should be given a chance, based on her performance leading up to the Beijing Olympics.
