Concerned about boot camp
published: Monday | August 11, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

I am writing to the Ministry of Education which has a joint boot camp with the Jamaica Constabulary Force. I was informed of this at the end of the school year that my child must attend this boot camp or else he will not be admitted to school come September.

I did what I was told and now, the dean of discipline at the José Marti High School is telling me, that come September, my child will not be able to attend classes as was promised. I would like for Educa-tion Minister Andrew Holness to address this matter as soon as possible, because the school year is almost starting.

I am, etc.,
