Prices in US$
published: Tuesday | August 12, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

I am writing in regards to the letter in Monday's paper titled 'Use of US$ locally'. I am in total agreement with Mr Bond. I live in the United States and I am looking for a place in Jamaica and it is incomprehensible to me as to why the prices are all in US dollars. I am not looking for a place here in the States but in Jamaica.

A dollar is a dollar wherever you are, so all the prices should be in Jamaican currency. I don't see the US or any other nation listing their prices in Jamaican currency. This needs to be addressed immediately.
