Three men, who have been implicated in the disappearance of a banker in St Elizabeth last year, were remanded when they appeared in the Black River Resident Magistrate's Court, Wednesday.The three have been identified as 19-year-old Devon Blair of a Clarendon address, 20-year-old Darraine Joseph of Westmoreland, and 23-year-old Simon Lindsay of Clarendon.
They have been charged with the murder of Bank of Nova Scotia Black River branch loan officer Michael Campbell.
Vehicle found
Campbell disappeared in December last year, after leaving his workplace. Following several days of searches in the parishes of St Elizabeth, West-moreland and Clarendon, his body was never found. However, his motor car was discovered in Clarendon days after he went missing.
The three were arrested on July 23, during a routine operations along the Goshen main road in St Elizabeth by members of the Area Three Highway Patrol. A semi-automatic 9mm pistol, along with 28 rounds of ammunition, was found in the vehicle.
They are scheduled to return to the Black River Resident Magistrate's Court on October 1, when their cases will again be mentioned.
