BELMOPAN, Belize (CMC):
Belize will hold two public consultations aimed at guiding local government development in the country and the wider Caribbean, according to an official statement issued here.
The first consultation will be held on September 17 and the second two days later.
It said that the Caribbean Forum of Local Government Ministers, in partnership with the Ministry of Labour, Local Government and Rural Development, will be conducting the public consultations "to gather inputs towards the development of a regional policy and cooperation framework on local governance and democracy in the Caribbean".
