NDTC for Bahamas performance
published: Thursday | September 18, 2008

Harris

Internationally-acclaimed National Dance Theatre Company (NDTC) is expected to perform in Nassau, Bahamas, this weekend.

The group, invited by The Bahamas Chapter of the University of the West Indies Alumni Association as part of its 60th anniversary, is booked for a September 19 and 20 showing at the Rainforest Theatre.

Proceeds

The proceeds will go to the Chancellor's Development Fund and the Fund for UWI Development in The Bahamas, a contributing territory.

Vice-Chancellor Professor E. Nigel Harris is expected at the gala performance.

The event precedes similar arrangements by the Toronto chapter, which plans to have the University Singers appear in early October.

The NDTC has had organic links with the UWI ever since its inception in 1962.
