Jamaica must watch
published: Tuesday | September 30, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

Thanks for your editorial page and I hope Jamaica is watching closely the downfall of a great country's economy. You said something that is so true and that is when a country stops producing and starts importing goods from another country, then the country is sure to get a downfall in the long run. The words are not exact but somewhere along that line. Jamaica needs to now take heed, stop importing all those products it can produce and go back to the old days of farming and rearing goats, pigs, cows and sheep, or else we might definitely catch a cold after the USA sneezes.

I am, etc.,
