Agriculture Minister Dr Christopher Tufton leaves the island for St Vincent and the Grenadines tomorrow to participate in the eighth Caribbean Week of Agriculture.

This will involve a series of fora, including the first meeting of the CARICOM Regional Fisheries Mechanism, the 29th special meeting of the Council for Trade and Economic Development and the meeting of the Alliance of CARICOM Ministers.

Among the agenda items scheduled for discussion by the Alliance of CARICOM Ministers, which is chaired by Dr Tufton are 'Challenges for Regional Food Security', 'the Caribbean Renewable Energy and Bio-Energy Action Programme' and 'Effects of Climate on Agriculture in the Caribbean'.
