The Editor, Sir:It has become increasingly difficult to traverse our roadways on a daily basis.
With the renovation of Flat Bridge in the Bog Walk gorge, motorists are voicing their appre-ciation to the construction company that made it possible to travel with some degree of comfort once again.
The government may want to look at the contract of Bouygues Construction Company by allowing them to repair our major roads and bridges throughout the island, instead of paying a man a 'food money' to pitch and patch the roads. For when the next cyclone comes, we are once again dislocated in all major cities and towns.
Save money
Commuters have long suffered the inconveniences of having to pay large sums of money to commute to and from each point of business and sometimes having to 'sleep over' as the roadway is not conducive to travel late at nights.
This will save the country some money which could be used to upgrade the facilities in hospitals now that health care is 'free for all'.
Nevertheless, thank you Bouygues. I know personally that you have done great work in other countries, and, though expensive, it is more than worth it.
I am, etc.,
