US$1,000 luxury boxes for qualifiers
published: Wednesday | October 8, 2008

THE JAMAICA FOOTBALL Federation (JFF) and long-time sponsor Courts revealed plans to make 10 luxury boxes available at the National Stadium in time for Jamaica's Boyz crucial World Cup qualifying match against Mexico on Saturday.

"The idea behind this venture, which was a collaboration between Courts, the Independence Park Limited and ourselves, was to make sure that our patrons can be treated as well or be as comfortable as at any stadium around the world," Captain Horace Burrell, president of the JFF, told The Gleaner yesterday.

The project, which will see the suites at the top of stadium outfitted with couches, refrigerators and 32-inch LCD televisions, has only seen two suites completed so far, but the rest are expected to be ready before the game.

According to the JFF, a number inquiries about the estimated US$1,000 suites have already been received.
