ST GEORGE'S College, led by braces from Kamal Malcolm and Kemar Cummings, scored a comfortable 4-0 victory over Dunoon Technical in Group E action of the ISSA/Pepsi/-Digicel Manning Cup at Vauxhall yesterday.

The win moved St George's College to 19 points from seven matches, ahead of Excelsior, who whipped Greater Portmore 7-0, on goal difference.

Other encounters

Meanwhile, the other Group E encounter between Camper-down and Ardenne has been rescheduled for a date to be announced.

In Group B, former champions Calabar had to come from behind twice to earn a 2-2 draw with Ascot while Pembroke Hall edged Donald Quarrie 1-0 and the match between St. Mary's College and Waterford was rained out.

Malcolm scored his goals in the 15th and 38th minutes while Cummings netted in the 59th and 78th.

Pleased with efforts

Marcel Gayle, assistant coach of St George's College, said he was pleased with his team's efforts.

"I am very satisfied with our performance because we came here to collect all three points and we were able to get them quite comfortably," said Gayle.

"I think we played well despite the condition of the field because our team is getting a lot better as the season goes on."

Stanford Patrick, coach of Dunoon Technical, said: " This was a very disappointing loss for us because I think we lost the game from the second half.

"A number of our players didn't play because of illness, but I must congratulate St. George's College because I think they played well enough to beat us today."
