WESTERN BUREAU:ST JAMES High School climbed to within a point of capturing one of the two inter-zone places from Zone A of the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel daCosta Cup yesterday when they clobbered Maldon High 3-0 in their top-of-the-table clash at Jarrett Park.
By virtue of the win, the Pastor Hugh Solomon-coached St James now lead the group with 23 points, while Maldon stay second with 18 points.
Cornwall College, who had their game against Irwin High rescheduled for this afternoon, are in third place on 14. However, while they have four outstanding games, Maldon have only two.
