Big bucks for Supreme Ventures 2-Y-O Series

SUPREME Ventures Limited (SVL) in association with Caymanas Track Limited (CTL) has announced the start of the 2008 Supreme Ventures 2-Y-O Series, with the Cash Pot raceday at Caymanas Park on Saturday, October 18.

Sonia Davidson, vice-president - group corporate communications of Supreme Ventures Limited said:

"We have committed $5.86 million towards the purse money, up from $5.65 million in 2007.

"With this sponsorship, the three-race series for native bred two-year-olds is the most lucrative not only in Jamaica, but the entire English-speaking Caribbean, with total purse money of over $8.5 million, including the $1 million bonus to the owner of the horse good enough to win all three races", she said.

The first leg will feature the $2.5 million Cash Pot 'Only One For Me' Trophy over 1200 metres on October 18, followed by the $3 million Pick-3 'Super Challenge' Trophy over 1400 metres on Saturday, November 29 and the third and final leg over 1600 metres, the Supreme Ventures Jamaica 2-Y-O Stakes on Boxing Day, Friday, December 26 with a purse of $3.5 million.
