The perfect hang-out spot
published: Thursday | October 16, 2008

During Kingston Restaurant Week, check out the quiet ambience of Carlos' Café. - Winston Sill/Freelance Photographer

Carlos' Café will welcome patrons with open arms for this year's Gleaner-sponsored Kingston Restaurant Week (KRW) .

The café and hang out spot turns 18 in November, just in time to consume those martinis for which it's famous.

The official anniversary is November 1 but according to Carlos MaxBrown, owner, KRW is an opportunity to celebrate with patrons, with a party on the first night.

But it's not just all about the party.

The Belmont Road locale is ready for dining, with its wispy white decor, patrons are sure to get in the mood.

Additionally they have not forgotten to treat your taste buds by adding new items to their main course and side dishes. All three main course dishes are new; callaloo stuffed chicken breast dressed in white wine cheese sauce; pan seared salmon with citrus Dijon glaze and sirloin steak marinated in red wine mushroom sauce. Two new side dishes are the savoury herb rice, spicy green beans and sweet potato and pumpkin mash.
